Modified Recipe Analysis

This recipe was modified by replacing the steak with a soy protein meat substitute – in this case Boca Burger. Flour for dusting the steak was deleted. The olive oil and butter were replaced with vegetable broth. The beef broth was replaced with vegetable broth. The full fat sour cream was replaced with fat free sour cream. Cornstarch and water were added for thickening after replacing the full fat sour cream.

These modifications reduced the fat content from 61 grams to 8 grams, a very substantial reduction, which brings this recipe into the healthy diet nutrition guidelines recommended by our Nutrition and Medical Experts.
